Winslet and DiCaprio Have Friendship, Causes and...Gold Ring in Common

Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio have shared the screen twice as a couple in memorable movies. First there was their unforgettable pairing in Titanic, the movie that helped cement their status as Hollywood stars. Years later, they went on to star in Revolutionary Road, directed by Winslet's husband, Sam Mendes. The first time around they were star-crossed lovers who didn't get to find out what happens after the honeymooon. In their second onscreen relationship, they showed that marriage was anything but a honeymoon, sparring as a couple who have seen their dreams fade in suburbia. In their second movie together they show that exchanging bands of gold is no guarantee. Gold may last forever, but sadly, some relationships do not.

Although their onscreen pairings did not weather the storm, Winslet and DiCaprio have managed to remain friends in real life. The duo combined forces to pay health care expenses for one of the last survivor's of the Titanic shipwreck. And although their one of their onscreen marriages did not get to the gold wedding band stage and the other could not survive it, the two remain close. So close in face that Kate Winslet actually wears a gold ring that DiCaprio has given to her. While it is not a gold engagement ring or a gold wedding band, it does have an inscription, one that Winslet refuses to reveal. Winslet says she wears this gold ring alongside the wedding ring she received from her husband. She also notes that her husband, has also become good friends with DiCaprio. The men cemented their relationship while all three worked on the movie Revolutionary Road.

It is intriguing to hear that Kate Winslet was given and wears gold jewelry from a friend and fellow thespian next to her wedding ring. Some of you out there may have gold jewelry that you do not cherish quite so much. You would like to wear it, but it does not have pleasant associations. At the same time you cannot just throw it away or give it to someone else. That is okay. Rather than hide it away so you can't see it, why not sell it and get some cash for gold? A gold buyer cannot mend a broken heart or erase memories, but when you sell gold and reap the benefits you may find that you feel a  whole lot better.
